V Isaiah 40:27-31
Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God”? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
V Discussion Questions / Topics:
* Sometimes as believers we may move outside of God's will.  Are there times when you are tempted to go when God says stop or stop when God says go? Discuss.
* Sometimes the center of God's will can feel awkward or uncomfortable. Has this ever happened to you?  Discuss how you have or would deal with it.
* To hope in God is to wait in eager anticipation. Discuss ways in which you are currently placing your hope in God.
* When we hope in God, he renews our strength. Have you experienced times when God exchanged your weakness for strength?  In what ways do you need God's strength right now?
* Eagles soar, which is a type of flight that relies on rising air currents rather than flapping wings.  What does it mean for you to depend on God's spirit rather than your own strength?
* By hoping in God, we can run and not be weary and walk and not faint. Spend some time praying for each other to persevere in the midst of difficulty.
V Witnessing Activities
* Gather ideas for a service project that your group can conduct.
