The Church must begin to assess its effectiveness.

The Church must adopt new effective biblical strategies.

Politics - the way people cope with competition for limited resources

Worship services and "prophetic pronouncements" are not enough.

Count the cost = Luke 14:25-35

Spiritual leaders are coaches - Eph 4:1-13

God wants to change the way you think.

God wants to change the way you act.

You must restructure your life in ways that will help you put God's Word into practice.

We do this for non-kingdom things:

Going back to school to gain skills for a better job

Dieting to fit into a wedding dress or swimwear

Changing your routine into order to "run into" a special someone

Allow God To Use You Wherever You Are - 2Cor 2:14-16

Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you.

Be ready for unexpected conversations.

"Before God" implies face to face communication. God is our friend.

God wants to be your father - Isa 9:6-7.

God wants to be your friend - John 15:13-15.

God wants to be your life - John 7:37-39.

Make whatever changes are necessary.

In what ways have you focused on others this past week?

Have you ever consciously given God permission to use you? If so, describe what happened. If not, why not?

In what ways have you been open and transparent this past week?

Describe ways in which you've had a positive impact on someone else's life this past week. What kind of spiritual influence did you have?

Describe a way in which God has been your source of life recently.

Witnessing Activities (pick one or two)

Make a list of the non-Christians in your life that you spend time with on a regular basis.

Help each other develop strategies for introducing some of the people from your lists to someone from your life group. Arrange to implement at least one of these strategies.

Discuss some ways that you might expand the circle of non-Christians that you know.
