> How do I follow Jesus?
V The Real Gospel
V Gal 1 - No Other Gospel
* Following any other "gospel" means deserting God!
* Any other "gospel" is really not "good news"
* The "other gospel" is about please men rather than Christ
* "Playing church" is really just "another gospel".

V Gal 3 - 4: Don't go Back!
* Gal 3:5 - The Spirit is given through faith

* Gen 15 - Abraham justified by faith (relationship)
V Gen 18 - all nations blessed through Abraham
* Spoken as God was letting Abraham in on his plans for Sodom and Gomorrah
* This demonstrates God's relationship with Abraham
* Biblical saving faith is the faith of relationship
* Gal 3:10-14 - Avoid the curse
V Gal 3:15 - 4:7 - The purpose of the law
* "Church life" can be like "the law" - it should lead us to Christ

V Discussion Questions / Topics (based on the indicated scriptures)
VGroup A: Gal 3:1-14 (from last week)
* Has God given you his Spirit? If so, why? If not, why not?
* Did your experience of God begin with following the rules or believing what you heard?
* Abraham believed God and was credited as righteous for it. Has God said anything to you that's given you an opportunity to believe recently?
* Based on vs. 10 those who try to relate to God based on rules are under a curse. Are you under a curse?
VGroup B: Gal 3:15-29 (from last week)
* When did you first realize that righteousness was available because of a promise that God had made?
* Based on vs. 21-22, religious rules can't give you life. Have you been trying to experience God's life through obeying religious rules?
* Based on vs. 19-25 religious rules can help us to recognize our own sinfulness. Have religious rules had this impact on your own life?
* Did religious rules ultimately lead you to Christ?
VGroup C: Luke 22:66-71; Luke 24:1-12
* What impact did Jesus' answer have on his trial?
* Have you ever had to acknowledge Jesus in a difficult public setting?
* How did you first come to believe that Jesus rose from the dead?
VGroup D: Luke 24:13-53
* Have you ever given up and withdrawn from ministry and/or fellowship with other believers after a disappointment? How has God interrupted your "withdrawal"?
* In vs. 21 the disciples said: "but we had hoped . . ." - How would you finish that sentence for your own life?
* Jesus explained to the disciples what the Old Testament scriptures actually said about him. What has the Bible revealed to you during your disappointments?
* What role does the Bible play in your life now?
* The disciples recognized that it was Jesus speaking to them when he broke bread, gave thanks, and distributed it to them. What role does the breaking of bread play in your own life?
* Has your heart ever "burned within you" as you read or heard God's Word? If so, give us an example.
VGroup E: Luke 24:13-35
* What stands out to you about these two disciples?
* How much faith in Jesus do you think they had before his arrest and trial?
* How much did they have just before he met them on the road?
* How much did they have just before he broke bread?
* How much did they have right after he disappeared?
* How much did they have by the time they returned to Jerusalem?
* What comes first in the Kingdom - believing or seeing?
V Witnessing Activities For This Week's Life Group Meetings
* Make sure everyone in your life group has a prayer partner.
* Make plans for praying with your prayer partners on a weekly basis.
* Plan a social event for your group to which you can invite some of the unbelievers you've been praying for.
